GWF Nutrition (Formerly Gro-Well Feeds Limited) is one of the few
family owned and independently run companies left in the UK that specialise in
the design, production and sale of high quality feeds and supplements for a
wide range of animals, including horses, dogs and camelids.
Established in 1971 the company
originally occupied a tithe barn in South Wraxall, Wiltshire, where it mixed
feeds for the then thriving agricultural market. Through hard work, nutritional
knowledge and a desire to produce only the best quality products it could,
success came quickly and the company soon moved to a purpose built mill a few
miles away in Melksham, which, today, still continues to serve as their head
office and main production premises.
With 2011 marking the 40th
anniversary, the company’s humble beginnings are firmly in the
past. With the decline of the agricultural markets in the 1980's, GWF Nutrition was quick to
capitalise on its nutritional and manufacturing expertise to offer a number of
new and revolutionary products into the marketplace. Equilibra Feed Balancer
for horses, Joint Aid for Dogs and Camelibra for alpacas and llamas are just a
few of the products that have earned the company both National and International
praise for their impact on the health, welfare and economics of use.
In addition to its growing
pet, equine and camelid
business, GWF Nutrition
continues to serve a number of
sectors in the agricultural
markets as well as contract
manufacture products to
customers requirements.
